In continuation of our employee spotlight series, we’d like to introduce our Trading Team Lead Spencer Noble.
Spencer was born and raised outside of Pittsburgh in Butler, Pennsylvania. Throughout high school, she held various jobs including one with a local steel corporation in the regulatory and environmental affairs department where she uncovered a profound passion for the financial aspect of business. She was drawn to numbers and tasks that allowed her to apply her innate attention to detail.
While working at AK Steel Corporation, Spencer had also been attending Butler County Community College on a full scholarship. She began taking classes in finance and ultimately earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, graduating with the highest honors.
Following her employment with AK Steel Corporation, Spencer was recruited by First Commonwealth Bank where she flourished as a client service specialist gaining experience in field sales, product knowledge, loan services and money management. During this time, she attained her Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) certification, authorizing her to discuss loans and mortgage-related financial products with clients.
Always having a desire to move south, Spencer headed to Huntersville, North Carolina, in November 2016. Shortly afterward, she began working for Willingdon Wealth Management. After learning the business on the administrative side, she moved into a client service role, helping to onboard new clients, build existing client relationships and support the sales team. Eager to contribute in a fast-paced environment, Spencer then transitioned to the trading team.
In June 2020, when Exencial acquired Willingdon Wealth Management, the firm was thrilled to welcome Spencer aboard. She has since moved into the position of trading team lead, and while the role is still fairly new to her, she has loved leading a team and watching others succeed under her guidance. Her favorite thing about Exencial is the teamwork. From day one, everyone has been willing to wear multiple hats. According to Spencer, the team has come together seamlessly, and she has appreciated hearing honest perspectives from all walks of management throughout the transition.
Outside of the office, Spencer enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends and caring for her cat, Oliver. Being close to both the mountains and the beach, she’s always on the hunt for the best walking, running and hiking trails. As an avid Disney fan, Spencer and her family have taken annual trips to Disney World for the past 20+ years (they snuck in their latest trip just before the shutdown in March!).
